According to Mark Mendel, Antigua and Barbuda’s attorney in its World Trade Organisation (WTO) dispute, the US is scheduled to put forward a proposal for the settlement of both aspects of the trade dispute by next Monday.

That should be very interesting!!

The United States is a big fan of leaning on other countries to tighten IP and copyright protection, but has a tendency to ignore its own obligations when it doesn't get its way.

Antigua and Barbuda awaits a resolution to its World Trade Organisation (WTO) battle with the United States, a related battle is being waged on another front. A subcommittee of the US House Committee on Financial Services is scheduled to conduct a hearing on the proposed Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
