Im wondering about MLB AL and NL
What's the difference between AL (american league) and NL (national league)?
I have searched for the differencies but have yet not found anything.

The National League dates back to 1876. The American League was formed in 1901 as a competitor to the National League.
The primary difference between the AL and NL lies in the fact that the American League allows a designated hitter while the NL does not. Because of the rule there is a very large difference in the two leagues in terms of style of play.
