illegal soccer betting
The international police agency Interpol says dozens of illegal soccer betting operations across Asia have been shut down in a coordinated crackdown.
Interpol says police in China, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam are taking part in the continuing operation. Since the crackdown began two weeks ago, almost 190 people in China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia had been detained. More than 630-thousand US dollars has also been seized.
