Default Betting Tips and Strategy

1. Set Aside a Bankroll.
Have a specific bankroll for your sports betting. Set it aside and don't use it for other parts of your life.

2. Develop a Strong Money Management Plan.
Have a good money management plan for your sports betting and stick to it. Don't go overboard on games just because you are having a bad day. Stay focused and stick with your sports betting plan.

3. Go Against the Public.
Always look to go against the popular sports betting plays. Going against the public is always a wise decision and it can make your sports betting much more profitable this season.

4. Be aggressive if you have an edge.
Don't be afraid to take advantage of early season lines. Some handicappers stress patience and take a wait-and-see attitude. The early season can be your best time in college football. Take advantage of those opportunities when they present themselves.

5. Don't rely too much upon last season's data.
It is a new year and different things will happen in sports betting. Early in the season power ratings are not very helpful. Wait a few weeks before making them a big part of your handicapping. In the early part of the season, especially in college football, pay more attention to the returning starters, the latest information, and look for bad lines.

6. Look in advance for teams to go with or against this season.
Look for those teams that could be good go against teams this sports betting season. Which teams are overpriced and might be heavily publicized by the media? Going against those teams will automatically give us extra value in the line because of their large following.

7. Discipline.
Stay disciplined. There is nothing more important than this one. The best handicapping in the world, the best money management, the best information, they are all useless if we lose control and bet it all on one game.

8. Do your work.
If you want to win, do the work. If you put the time and effort into handicapping the games your chances of success are better. Sports betting is not easy and it takes work. The more effort you put into your sports betting handicapping the better your results will be.

9. Look for the best lines.
Anytime you can get a half point or more in your favor it is a big deal in sports betting. Over the course of the season it can add anywhere from 4-6 percent to your bankroll. That is a big difference.

10. Develop your own strategy.
Find your strengths. If you are a great Big 12 handicapper, focus more on those games. If you struggle in the colleges but do well in the NFL, limit your college plays. The main thing here is to play to your strengths. We all do some things better than others. Find your strengths this sports betting season and use them.

Good Luck!

There are some great tips there.

My main rules are :-

Never spend more than you have put aside for gambling.

Dont always go for the "no brainer" bet.

Do you homework.

Do not change your mind - you may regret it.

ABOVE ALL - ONLY BET ON MARKETS IN WHICH YOU HAVE A GENUINE INTEREST, AND GOOD KNOWLEDGE.

Don't forget to have fun when you are gambling. The more serious you take it, the less likely you are to get anything out of the experience. Later on I'll show you how to get serious
